Popis: Metals as the main part of the denture are incorporated into biological medium in the oral cavity. As the oral cavity is an aggressive corrosive medium, it is recommended that for every following prosthodontic therapy a familiar dental alloy should be used to avoid unpleased electrochemical rections. In this work qualitative and quantitative determination of dental alloys based on cobalt and nickel is reported. Method involves anodic sampling, separation of samples by mean of thin-layer chromatography on precoated cellulose layers (Merck) and quantification by CCD video densitometry. Micro-anodic dissolution of dental aloys allows intra-oral in situ sampling of permanent dental prostheses without destruction. For the efficient application of anodic sampling, it was necessary to investigate a number af factors, which affect anodic dissolution of alloy constituents. Computer-assisted optimisation was used for the determination of the mobile phase composition. After development, the spots were visualised by spraying chromatograms with ethanol quercetine and dimethylglyoxim solutions. Image capturing and data evaluation were performed with the CAMAG Video Documentation System. The chromatograms were captured under white light by means of highly sensitive 3CCD color video camera. Image acquisition, processing and archiving were controlled via Video Store 2, Version 2.30 documentation software running under Windows.
