This report describes the design, planning, manufacturing, encapsulation, interim storage, transfer and deposition in the repository as well as the quality control programme relevant to all these phases. The canister service life estimate takes into account all the production steps from manufacturing the raw materials until the canister is emplaced in the deposition hole surrounded by the buffer and covered by the backfill and direct control of the system is no longer possible (initial state). After that, the canister service life is assessed as part of the long-term safety analysis. The report provides the initial state data for the canister used in the long-term safety analysis. |
