| Popis: | Current malt analyses provide an inadequate prediction of the lautering performance of malt. In this work a simple filtration method based on mashing under brewery conditions and filtration through a Buchner funnel was developed. The test, called the Buchner filtration test, reveals differences in mash filterability that cannot be detected in conventional malt analysis. The Buchner filtration test was more repeatable than other wort separation methods tested. |
