Popis: |
The importance and demands of vibration and noise control are increasing when lightweight structures are replacing conventional massive machinery constructions. Low noise design has also become a remarkable advantage for industrial applications. This advancing trend is setting new requirements for structural design, often requiring advanced materials for more adaptive solutions. Adaptive and active structures have been shown to have a great potential for creating new noise and vibration solutions for industrial products and processes. Magnetorheological elastomers (MRE) have been detected for one of the most potential material group for realizing adaptive solutions with controllable stiffness. In this study the matrix and filler materials behavior of the MRE's was studied in dynamic compressive loading at both passive state and with an increasing magnetic flux density. Various different filler and matrix ratios were studied. The dynamic tests were made with different displacement pre-loads, amplitudes and with a varying magnetic flux density. |
