Abstrakt: A new protocol for purification of L-aromatic amino acid decarboxylase from pig kidney in which, after an initial ultracentrifugation, only two columns are required to obtain homogeneous enzyme is presented. The protocol provides protein with a higher specific activity than that previously obtained, reducing by about one-half the time required for purification.Copyright 1993, 1999 Academic Press
