Several β-substituted ethyl planar porphyrinato rhodium(III) complexes were found to undergo reversible alkyl 1,2-rearrangements at 120 4;°C with the reaction rates and the equilibrium positions depending on the electronic nature of the β-substituents, and Rh(ttp)CH2CH2Ph 1 and Rh(ttp)CH(CH3)Ph 4 were characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography. |
