Abstrakt: Metal–alkylidyne complexes of the type W(&z.tbd;CC6H4X-4)(OBut)3 (X = NMe2, SMe), which are analogues of classic organic donor–acceptor compounds, form infinite-chain structures in the solid state through weak intermolecular dative bonds between the tungsten and donor atoms.
