Within the framework of the project “Potentials of the underground storage and economic area in the North German Basin”, different approaches for the further development and parameterization of transnational, harmonized three-dimensional models were pursued. The approaches include geophysical parameters like seismic velocity and density, but also geological information such as lithology and facies as well as the temperature distribution in the subsurface. We provide an overview of these approaches and methods and present first results. The results illustrate the necessity and potential for the optimization of existing models by integrating thematically different parameters. Furthermore, it becomes clear that large-scale models can also be parameterized in order to solve future applied geoscientific questions. |
