•While a numerical difference was observed, SalmonellaLN prevalence was not significantly different between farm types..•SalmonellaLN prevalence varied significantly by region, with the Southwest showing higher prevalence than the Northeast.•Most of the positive samples had low bacterial levels (<10⁴ CFU/gr LN) and less than 0.1% of the isolates were enumerable.•About 10% of isolates were resistant to at least one antimicrobial, while about 2% were multi-drug resistant.•Montevideo (27.1%), Mbandaka (16.4%), and Muenster (14.1%) were the most predominant serotypes, and they varied by season.. |
