Abstrakt: Plastic optical fibre is a favourable transmission medium since it provides broad-band telecommunication services within the customer’s buildings. This paper presents an investigation of optical fibre communication systems using plastic optical fibre and their enabling technologies. The created plot has been tried on optical fiber systems working with a non- return-to-zero (NRZ) and return to zero (RZ) positions at transmission rates of up to 10 Gbps. It is shown that transmission length of up to 150 m is a possibility using enhanced 120 μm MMF POF at −6.77 dBm launch power. This clearly exceeds the minimum transmission distance of 100 m that is required in the 10 Gb/s standard. The execution of enhanced distinguished signals has been assessed by the investigation of value variable and figured piece mistake rate at specific wavelengths in the district of 660 nm. Furthermore, we examine the performance of plastic optical fibre after changing the launch power (source power) at six different laser diode powers −13, −10, −8.23, −6.98, −6.02 and −5.22 dBm. The performance of these systems was analysed by using VPI transmission maker software 8.6.
