Abstrakt: Pancreas transplantation with bladder drainage of exocrine secretions may be associated with significant urologic complications. Stapled and hand‐sewn duodenocystostomies were compared in 61 recipients of simultaneous pancreas‐kidney transplants. Both methods resulted in similar urologic complication and allograft survival rates. Duodenal segment leaks were associated with significant morbidity and decreased patient and allograft survival.
