Depot medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA) is a highly effective contraceptive method, however its accessibility in family medicine clinics can be limited by several factors, including physician-dependent administration practices, misconceptions, and knowledge gaps. This leads to barriers to accessing DMPA, hindering patients' ability to receive timely and consistent contraception. We aimed to address barriers to DMPA accessibility in our family medicine clinic by creating a standardized protocol. |
