The increasing trend of working from home, as well as growth in shopping and entertainment in local areas resulting from COVID-19, has changed goods distribution patterns in Sydney's metropolitan area. A substantial increase in parcel deliveries was experienced in the metropolitan area in 2020 as well as a decline in deliveries to the central business district (CBD). This is in line with the global trends and literature from other major metropolitan cities in the developed world. |
