Abstrakt: Science and technology parks (STPs) are fundamental elements of the knowledge economy infrastructure. They are clusters of research and development, innovation and technology transfer. However, they often tend to endorse specific trajectories for technological and business development, such as the production of high technology and the proliferation of profit-maximising businesses. In response to an intense environmental and socio-economic crisis, this article explores how STPs could facilitate a postdigital science and technology development, reaping the benefits of open-source technology and social entrepreneurship. The article aims to outline an alternative approach to designing and operating STPs through an exploratory case study from Greece. By embracing a postdigital and commons-oriented approach, STPs could promote technology and business diversity, which might help address environmental degradation and wealth inequality.
