Abstract:This essay chronicles various stories of a life lived and the painful moments within it. The ‘gaps’ the narrator experiences are in a multitude of forms. They are there to teach the narrator about pain and how it can drive a person along in their lives. The essay further examines the forgetfulness and loss that can be paired with pain. A prominent section of the text revolves around the imagery of the human body and the gaps that can hold pain within it. |
