The main need is a constantly increasing power density, although the gear set’s materials also contribute to this. Plastic, nonferrous metals, and materials based on iron are only a few of the materials that can be used to create gears, depending on their intended purpose. Stainless steel, austenitic steel, nickel cobalt chromium alloy, brass, low, medium, and high carbon steel, alloy steel (18CrNiMo7), plastic, nylatron, polyacetal (POM), magnesium alloy, aluminum alloy, and sintered metal are among the materials for which the calculation is carried out. A gear’s strength is dependent on its kind of material, heat treatment, and quenching technique. The purpose of the study described in the following article is to examine the static behavior of gearbox systems with helical gears made of various materials. |
