Abstrakt: Various proposals have been made in recent years to detach engineering colleges from the balance of the university and isolate them in specially organized and separated “Professional Schools of Engineering,” with autonomous control by the engineering faculty of both their membership and curricula. I believe that such proposals are steps in the wrong direction.
