Abstrakt: Abstract:The poem is a response to and an extension of Hamlet’s “I have of late, but wherefore I know not, lost all my mirth...”, and is an attempt to locate solace in brokenness. It also seeks to capture the essence of something that appears in much of my work: the bewildering sense that one’s bedroom is infinite and contains all other bedrooms that one has ever slept and waked in, and every bedroom one has yet to sleep and wake in.
