Abstrakt: •Overall, the prevalence E. coliin the studied produce was 32.0% (96/300).•Lettuce showed highest E. coliprevalence at 36.7% (22/60).•E. coliwas found more in supermarket than local market.•27.1% (26/96) of E. coliisolates were considered multidrug-resistant.•No E. coliO157:H7 was found in this study.
