Abstrakt: •Climate resilient wheat genotypes play a crucial role in food and nutritional security of the world.•Heat stress and heat drought are the major yield limiting factors of wheat that reduces yield up to 24 and 48%, respectively.•Earliness in booting heading with longer booting-heading, booting-anthesis and shorter heading-anthesis duration promote yield across all environments.•Taller genotypes yield higher under heat stress and heat drought environment whereas shorter genotypes yield higher under irrigated environment.•NL 1369, NL 1404, and NL 1417 were the adaptable genotype under irrigated, heat stress, and heat drought environment while NL 1381 was the most stable.
