Abstrakt: 1. The technical requirements for cineangiocardiography with an image intensifier are discussed and a technique using intermittent radiation is described.2. Results are assessed by comparing 226 angiocardio-graphic examinations on large films with 83 cine examinations, mostly at 32 pictures per second.3. Cineangiocardiography has both advantages and disadvantages. There is a notable advantage in the study of conditions causing a left-to-right shunt and also in the study of valve function. In four children with uncomplicated septal defects, venous cineangiocardiography demonstrated that the shunts were bi-directional. In two children a dancing motion of contrast medium in the right atrium indicated tricuspid incompetence.Cineangiocardiograms of the following were shown: the normal; transposition of the great vessels; Fallot's tetralogy; pulmonary stenosis with an atrial septal defect; single ventricle; congenital tricuspid incompetence; temporary sinus arrest; atrial septal defect.
