Abstrakt: Ganglioneurofibromatosis of the gastrointestinal tract is a rare disease. It has been reported as an isolated entity in the duodenum (Dahl, Waugh and Dahlin, 1957), stomach (Pitts and Hill, 1947), and appendix (Lichtenstein and Ragins, 1937). More recently it has been described involving the colon in association with the mucosal neuroma syndrome and medullary carcinoma of the thyroid (Normann and Otnes, 1969; Anderson, Spackman and Schwartz, 1971). This paper reports a case of multiple polypoid ganglioneurofibromatosis of the colon. The barium enema findings are described and the literature pertaining to this particular clinical entity is reviewed.
