Abstrakt: The Cathetron is a high dose-rate, remotely controlled, “afterloading” intracavitary radiation unit. The prototype unit installed at the Charing Cross Group of Hospitals and the clinical technique evolved for the treatment of uterine carcinoma using this machine are described.
