Three cases of pseudohypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy associated with centrally located metastatic lung tumours are presented. In all cases, which occurred in young adults, the primary process was located in the nasopharynx. It is possible that pulmonary metastases from primary tumours of the nasopharynx in young patients have a predilection for the development of osteoarthropathy.Radiotherapy of the metastases gave excellent results with objective and subjective improvement in all three patients. |
