Abstrakt: To the Editor of The Lancet. The coroner's inquest on the nurse who died suddenly at the Wimbledon Hospital while attending to a patient being X rayed was held in a very noisy road. Evidence was given and questions were asked in an undertone, and it is not surprising that some of the press accounts were inaccurate. I was present at the inquest but not at the accident; the following is an accurate account of what happened at the hospital as reported to me on my return from holiday.
