A novel preparation method of hydrodesulfurization catalysts with Keggin type heteropolyanions as starting material has been developed. This preparation involves a reduction step of the heteropolyanions within the impregnating solution, in order to achieve high Co/Mo ratio. Catalysts prepared from such solutions were proved to be superior to conventional catalysts, in terms of thiophene HDS activity. |
