| Abstrakt: | Benzenetellurol was conveniently generated by methanolysis of phenyl trimethylsilyl telluride or reduction of diphenyl ditelluride with phosphinic acid or sodium borohydride, and smoothly reduced aromatic nitro compounds to the corresponding amines. |
