| Abstrakt: | Protection of various types of alcohols with p-anisyloxymethyl (p-AOM) chloride gave the corresponding p-AOM ethers which were deprotected with ceric ammonium nitrate efficiently. Chemoselective removal either of p-AOM group or of tetrahydropyranyl group is also reported. |
