•Heat Stress is a major environmental problem affecting poultry production around the world.•Heat Stress triggers a series of negative physiological responses, such as depressed immune response, endocrine disorders, and reproductive problems.•Methionine amino acid has an important role in initiating the translation of proteins associated with body functions.•Several studies have shown that the dietary supplementation of certain essential amino acids can mitigate the problems resulting from Heat Stress in birds.•To date,no reports about using nano-methionine in mitigating the effect of heat stress in poultry are present. |
