Abstrakt: Foot amputation in the diabetic population can help maintain a patient’s independent ambulation and function. Such surgery requires diligence of the surgeon and a watchful eye for the development of early and long-term complications. Careful adherence to the listed healing parameters can assist the surgeon in achieving healing rates of above 90%.
