Spectroscopic properties such as UV–visible and optical energy gap of graphene and graphene oxide (GO) thin films via drop casting technique were investigated. The absorption peak at 228 nm of graphene corresponds to π–π* transitions of the remaining sp2which were shifted to shorter wavelength 218 nm after oxidation of graphene to graphene oxide. The energy dispersive X-ray elemental analysis of graphene sample and for comparison with graphene oxide under the same conditions show the chemical compositions identified a high carbon content a peak related to oxygen is appeared in graphene oxide sample. The specific responsivity and specific detectivity and external quantum efficiency of GO/PSi/n-Si photo-detectors which is prepared by drop casting technique are 0.016 A/W, 2.25 × 1011Jones and 2.78% respectively at the same wavelength 700 nm. The electrical properties of photo detector device gives efficiency 0.076% and Fill Factor 16.6%. |
