Abstrakt: The PbS thin films nanostructure, which were created using the pulse laser deposition technique at various base temperatures, were used to create the NO2quick gas sensor. The transmission, absorbance and multi-optical parameters were studied. The structural as well as morphological characteristics (atomic force microscopy) were used to study. We evaluated the NO2gas for sensing capabilities of PbS thin films that were deposited at various substrate temperatures. The PbS film had the maximum sensitivity at 60 °C. To test the sensitivity of the sensor for NO2gas, the sensitivity of the sensor was evaluated to 50 ppm of the gas for a range of operating temperatures, ranging from 50 to 200 °C, in order to obtain an optimal operating temperature for the sensor. Highest value of sensitivity was seen as operating temperature increased, reaching a maximum value at 150 °C. This was followed by a decrease in sensitivity as operating temperature increased for these operating condition (50 ppm NO2and 150 °C), the sensitivity was roughly 65%, and the quick reaction time was 8 s.
