Abstrakt: |
This article examines the relativistic self-focusing of a strong q-Gaussian laser beam in plasma. Owing to laser beam’s relative self-focusing, a gradient of transverse intensity is formed, which can create a plasma wave at the pump wave frequency. And, the mechanism of second-harmonic generation and the parameters that affect the second-harmonic yield have been thoroughly explored. Also, an electron plasma wave at the frequency of pump is excited via the created gradients of density and interacts with the pump beam to form the beam’s second harmonics. A nonlinear second-order differential equation describing the evolution of a laser beam as a function of propagation distance was obtained and solved numerically. This equation has been solved using the Range–Kutta method. The effect of nonlinear absorption on the self-focusing of the laser beam and the effective conversion of its second harmonics was studied. |
