Abstrakt: In this study, a Tb3+-doped green-emitting phosphor AgLa(1−x)Tbx(PO3)4(x= 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 mol%) was elaborated using the flux method. Samples were characterized through X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the compounds crystallize in monoclinic phase with a P21/n space group. A strong green emission was observed at about 544 nm (5D4→ 7F5), and the CIE chromaticity coordinates were highlighted from the emission studies. An increase in terbium concentration may change the emission color of ALa(1−x)Tbx(PO3)4from blue to green. The decay curves for the 5D4emission of Tb3+ion exhibit an exponential pattern irrespective to the dopant concentration. When the concentration of Tb3+was raised from 3 to 30 mol%, the measured decay time increased from 0.97 to 1.15 ms. These findings point to potential applications in the phosphor material fields and allow a new generation of broadband green tunable fiber lasers and beyond, filling in the “green gap.”
