Abstrakt: The formation of solid electrolyte interfaces (SEI) film on micron-sized SnSb anode electrodes for Li-ion batteries is studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The characteristics of SEI resistance as a function of cell voltage can be explained by electrolyte degradation and expansion/contraction of the electrode during alloying/dealloying mechanism. Furthermore, the SEI film resistance is studied for up to 50 cycles.
