(Digital Presentation) Effects of Foreign Elements Added Oxide-Based Electrocatalyst for Oxygen Reduction Reaction as Non-Precious Metel Cathodes

Abstrakt: In order to investigate the addition effect of foreign element and CNT on the ORR activity, Ti oxide-based electrocatalysts were prepared from precursors originated from oxy-titanium tetra-pyrazino-porphyrazine and evaluated its electrochemical characteristic. The Ti oxide-based electrocatalyst with Fe-based addition (Fe-TiOx, FeZn-TiOx, and FeNiZn-TiOx) has enhanced OER activity than that without any addition. Moreover, above catalyst powder supported on carbon nanotube (CNT) reached higher OER activity than that without any support. Foreign element addition can contribute to form higher quality of active site of ORR compared to the sample without any addition. The CNT would be effective for enhance surface area of Ti oxide-based electrocatalyst powder.
