| Abstrakt: | As might be expected, a measurable potential difference is found between a pair of micro-electrodes, one of which is inside a Paramecium and the other in the external medium. The magnitude of this potential depends on the nature of the external solution. A brief account of the influence of the environment on the nature of the potential observed is given in the following pages. |
