| Abstrakt: | A novel and succinct route to 2-hydroxy-4,6-diarylbenzophenones has been developed through condensation of aryl 1,3-diketones with chalcones. The resultant compounds stimulate insulin-dependent glucose uptake into adipocytes, and improve insulin sensitivity in a rodent model of diabetes. |
