The study examines the relationship between emotional regulation (ER) strategies, thwarted social need (TSN) and disposable income (DI) with the psychological well-being (PWB) of the followers from the uniformed and non-uniformed organisation. Stratified cluster sampling is used as the sampling technique. Data has been collected through primary survey (n= 650) through established scales such as ERQ, Ryff scale on PWB, Thematic appreciation as the instrument of measurement. The findings suggest that expressive suppression and cognitive reappraisal contribute (negatively and positively respectively) to PWB. This effect is very pronounced in case of non-uniformed personnel, though this effect is similarly evidenced in case of uniformed personnel. The study brings up the relevance of this topic and stresses the necessity for a deeper and exclusive investigation on the impact of Thwarted social needs and disposable income in the interaction of emotion suppression and cognitive evaluation. |
