Existence of fixed points via C∗-algebra-valued simulation functions with applications

Abstrakt: In this paper, the concepts of C∗-algebra-valued simulation functions and associated new classes of contractive mappings are initiated. Sufficient conditions for the existence of fixed points for such mappings are also investigated. It is observed that the ideas examined herein unify and generalize a number of fixed point results in the corresponding literature. A few of these special cases are highlighted and discussed as corollaries. Nontrivial and comparative examples are provided to authenticate the assumptions and show the generality of our main notions. From application viewpoint, one of our results is applied to establish novel criteria for solvability of a general class of integral equations via Lipschitz-type inequality different from the regular ones.
