Abstrakt: In the summer of 1948, the Consolidated Gas Electric Light and Power Company of Baltimore ordered a 75,000kw-capability, 3600-rpm, straight-condensing unit for installation as No. 4 Unit in its Riverside Generating Station. This selection was made after consideration of units both for straight-condensing and reheat cycles and was based upon judgment that the nonreheat unit should be more economical in total dollar costs to the company during the life of the unit.
