Abstrakt: •The Haemophilusgenus forms part of the nasopharyngeal and oral healthy microbiota of human beings.•Some species of Haemophilusother than H. ducreyihave been associated with non-gonococcal urethritis, including H. influenzae, H. parainfluenzae, and H. pittmaniae.•We report for the first time the association of Haemophilus pittmaniaeand Haemophilus sputorumwith urethritis in men who have sex with men and who had unprotected intercourse.•We emphasize their importance in the differential diagnosis and management of genital system infections.
