At present more and more interest is aroused by creation of spacecraft and satellites servicing in orbit. This is due to both the increasing amount of space debris in orbit and the high cost of developing spacecraft to replace those whose service life has come to an end. The implementation of such missions requires the presence of refueling elements on board the service vehicle. The purpose of the article is to analyze the ways and constructive elements of in-orbit refueling. A brief review of existing projects of in-orbit pre-fueling is carried out. The design features of refueling methods are reviewed. Based on the results of the analysis, a conclusion is made about the structural elements required for refueling the modules of the universal space platform demonstrator. |
