Abstrakt: •Atypical antipsychotics dramatically reduce the severity of EAE, the main animal model of MS.•Antipsychotics suppress the production of proinflammatory cytokines.•Clozapine reduces myeloid and T cell activation more than other antipsychotics.•Further research is needed to allow clinical testing on MS patients.
