Abstrakt: •Vaccine hesitancy in the neuroinflammatory disease (NID) population is often due to lack of data•NID patients and controls had the same side effect rates with all COVID-19 vaccines•All vaccine side effects in both groups fell into the expected side effect profile•We found no evidence that the COVID-19 vaccines worsen neuroinflammatory disease•Vaccine hesitancy in the neuroinflammatory disease (NID) population is often due to lack of data•NID patients and controls had the same side effect rates with all COVID-19 vaccines•All vaccine side effects in both groups fell into the expected side effect profile•We found no evidence that the COVID-19 vaccines worsen neuroinflammatory disease
