Multi-shelled bimetal V-doped Co3O4hollow spheres derived from metal organic framework for high performance supercapacitors

Abstrakt: •Hollow spheres multi-shelled particles contain two transition metals (V-doped Co3O4) have been synthesized.•A facile self-templating method is used to produce bimetal-organic frameworks followed by annealing heat treatment.•Multi shells V-doped Co3O4particles represent a remarkable electrochemical performance as active electrode material.•Doping, high surface area (61.4 m2g−1), and multi-shelled features are factors affecting these results.•An excellent specific capacitance of 1593 F g−1is obtained for the current synthesized electrode material.
