This article explains the challenges faced by women employees in the corporate world and how a focused development programme can help organisations foster female talent and make significant progress towards creating a gender inclusive culture. In today’s complex and dynamic age, where technology, processes and business models change rapidly, women struggle to balance their career aspirations with their personal challenges, societal pressures and their own deep-set inhibitions. This leads to a widening gender gap from entry-level positions to senior leadership roles. The situation, therefore, necessitates a seismic shift in the thought process of female employees to help them overcome internal and external challenges, fast-track capability improvement and make deep behavioural impacts to foster career growth. This article highlights the need for a structured development programme to help organisations invest in their women employees in mid-management roles and create a pathway for them to achieve their career goals. All actions are documented in the programme to culminate into actionable insights for participants and deep cognitive insights for L&D and organisations. |
