A new species of scorpion belonging to the genus Compsobuthusis described based on a single male specimen collected from Ain El-Hamah, Khaybar, Saudi Arabia. The new species, Compsobuthus khaybarisp. n., belongs to the wernerigroup of Compsobuthusand is closely related with C. longipalpisand C. fuscatus. A key for species of the genus Compsobuthusknown from Saudi Arabia is given.
