Abstrakt: This paper presents a work on the effect of Powder Mixed Electric Discharge Machining (PMEDM) parameters on the machining time when machining cylindrical shaped parts made from 90CrSi alloy steel. Five parameters including pulse on time Ton, powder concentration Cp, pulse off time Toff, pulse current IP and server voltage SV are explored their contribution on machining time by using the Taguchi method in eighteen experiments based on an orthogonal array L18 (21 and 34). Based on ANOVA analysis, an optimum model of the machining time was proposed. The model was well verified by comparing with the experiment, and it, therefore can be used for further studies in the PMEDM process.
