ABSTRACTThe genotypic diversity of Brazilian Cryptococcus neoformansstrains was analyzed. The majority of the samples were aA (65%), followed by aB (17.5%), aD (9%), aAaD hybrids (5%), and aC (3.5%). A considerable genotypic diversity occurred within C. neoformansvar. grubii, and a new amplified fragment length polymorphism genotype, 1B, was recognized. |
